Each formation can be played in three tactits. These are -
- Moderate
- Defensive
- Attacking
IDEAS ABOUT DLS 21 TACTICS & POSITIONS
The best way to do this is to play in Moderate. There is no point in playing defensive in the beginning. You can only play Defensive when you are ahead in the number of goals and you no longer want to digest goals. You can play Attacking when you fall behind in the number of goals, but it increases the chances of scoring as well as scoring goals, so you have to play very carefully. In the beginning, playing in Moderate is the best option.

BEST FORMATION OF DLS 21
(4-4-2) This formation consists of four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers. In the defender option you have to play LB on the left side, RB on the right side and 2 CB in the middle. There are several types of players that can be played in the midfielder option of this formation. For example, 2 people in the middle have to play CMF or AMF. Play LM or WF (LWF) on the left. And RM or WF (RWF) on the right. Then 2 CF have to play. However, 1 CF and 1 WF can be played.
(4-1-4-1) In this formation 4 defenders will have to play like before. Then a DM has to play. After that 4 midfielders will have to play like before. A CF must play above all.
(5-3-2) 5 defenders will have to play in this formation. You have to play LB, RB on both sides and 3 CB in the middle. 3 CM have to play in the middle. Then 2 people will play CF. However, WF can be played in place of CF in this formation.
(4-1-2-1-2) In this formation 4 defenders like the first, one DM like the second will have to play. Then 2 CM and one AM will play. Then 2 CF or WF.
(4-4-1-1) Defenders and midfielders will have to play in this formation like the previous formations. Then one has to play AM and CF.
(5-2-1-2) In this formation first we have to play 5 defenders like the previous formation then 2 CM, 1 AM and 2 CF.
(4-3-1-2) 4 defenders, 3 CM will have to play in this formation like the previous formation. Then 1 people will play AM. Then 2 people have to play CF or WF.
(4-3-3) In this formation 4 defenders, 3 CM will have to play like in the previous formation. Then you have to play 2 WF on both sides and 1 CF in the middle.
(3-4-3) In this formation 3 CB will have to play in defense. Then 4 midfielders will have to play like in the previous formation. Then, like the previous formation, 1 CF will play in the middle and 2 WF will play on both sides.
(4-5-1) In this formation 4 defenders will have to play like in the previous formation. Then 3 CM in the middle and LM / WF on their left and RM / WF on their right. Then 1 person has to play CF.

When you play defensively you want to have the highest player in defense. There are two formations for you. These are 5-3-2 and 5-2-1-2. When you play in attcking keep the player low in defense then play in 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 formations. The rest of the formations are suitable for playing in Moderate.
You have to select your best formation based on the number of players in your team. You must have players available in your team for each position in the formation of your choice. If you play with more midfielders then after 60-70 minutes they get very tired. Then of course you will need a replacement player in that position.
If you have good subtitute players you can choose 4-4-2 formation. 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-3-1-2 These two formations are best for Moderate and Attacking.
But I find 4-1-2-1-2 more effective, especially when playing Dream League Live.
